Blood clots are normal during period only in moderation. Excessive clotting, heavy flow and bad cramps all throughout your period can be a sign of endometriosis. Schedule and appointment with your doctor immediately as this condition required treatment. Normally naproxen for cramps and to reduce the swelling of the uterus and birth control to regulate the hormone and blood flow.

I have the same thing, heard it could be due to any of these things, endometriosis, adenomyosis, fibroids, periomenpause, miscarriage, stress, hormonal imbalance, only a visit to an obgyn and the right exams will get you closer to an answer

If you have not already been diagnosed, please go to a gynecologist that specializes in endometriosis. Endometriosis causes extreme pain on the first day of your period and a light flow. It causes in fertility, and you may need surgery

Same thing is happening to me. Very light flow, only bleeding I get seems to only be of clots, and pain on my lower abdomen that often leaves me unable to stand up, as the pain resonates throughout my legs and spine. I exercise to prevent the menstrual cramps but that only seems to make it worse. A week before I get my period, I would have severe pain that only worsens ten times after actually getting my first clot. I've never had sex or been raped, and I don't take birth control pills because I don't plan on having sex, since I'm only seventeen. My family has history of ovarian cancer, so I'm like pretty sure this isn't normal. But I don't have money for a doctor, oh well. If someone who has this problem, went to the doctor, and got a diagnoses, please share it?

I agree. I have endometriosis. I have had 3 surgeries to remove scar tissue from outside of my uterus. Surgery is required in bad cases of endometriosis, I have had surgery about every 7 years. I am 41 years old. All of the symptoms in this thread are common with endometriosis, but that does not mean you don't have other issues causing your pain & clotting. GO TO A DOCTOR. The sooner you go the sooner you can get diagnosed and treated. Don't keep suffering every month no one should live that way. Good luck!

Yep it's called a pregnancy test, even after having a miscarriage a pregnancy test would show up as positive.

I have the same thing, it's been going on for over 10 years. I think that 2 tea/tablespoons thing through out the period is real rubbish cause each time i sit on the toilet on the peak days, what falls out of me will fill a tablespoon (each time!). Mine flows and there's this feeling like a rush whenever it falls out, i literally feel it fall out out of me. Sometimes its slimy with lumps, sometimes it's like skin you can spread out (a lil grey), sometimes it's like a lump of flesh (that one used to fall out on the heaviest day of the flow (on the 3rd or 4th day), it doesnt dissolve on pad, it just stays there or blocks the entrance until you remove it)), sometimes its just like a thick dark custard.
Don't get me started on the cramps. A doctor got tired of trying different pain meds on me and just told me it was dysmenorrhoia. Some months are terrible, i feel like I'm losing my mind for days. I squat, use meds, heat balm, hot water etc. It takes ages for anything to work but it eventually does after some hours. I also get breaks inbetween the cramps which feel amazing.
I found that movement helps a bit so i take walks and try other mild exercises, nothing abdominal though, that just seems to increase the bleeding.
Some days I dont flow, my lower abdomen feels so heavy and the pain is even worse cause it feels like its blocked inside. some months are good though, the pain is manageable without meds.
I did an ultrasound scan early last year because i was spotting for weeks and I dont have fibroids. I think the doctor said something about hormonal inbalance. You should get checked out okay? It might be nothing.
