Thanx
Pineal cysts are found incidentally on a large proportion of head imaging. In the majority of cases, they are a NORMAL VARIANT and require no intervention. They are an extremely unlikely cause of headaches, even when multiple are present. When head imaging is done we find all sorts of cysts that are just part of how people are built and do not cause any problems. Sometimes we will follow a pineal cyst with serial imaging (yearly once, if at all)
I just saw a 2nd neurologist yesterday because a 2nd MRI showed a cyst on my pineal gland grew to 3mm and DR said MRI was normal both times. Migraines, haven't had more that 4-5hrs sleep in 10yrs, nausea, vision problems. Dr yesterday told me 5x in a row " that isn't what is causing your headaches". I'm taking too much medicine. What? Nambutone 500mg 1x day, Migranal 1spray each nostril 2x day down from 4x day, topamx 75mg/day. Who does this guy think he is? They think that after they graduate (27yrs ago) and they close the textbooks they know it all. Newsflash, there have been new findings and research done since the stone age. He refused to even listen to me. I had to hold up my hand and beg him to agree to look into this. He wrote something down on a piece of paper and got up and opened the door and showed me where to checkout. I asked him if I could send him medical journal articals stating pineal cysts cause migraines and he mumbled, yeah. If these cysts are symptomatic they NEED to be checked into. He didn't even offer to prescribe other pain medication to relieive this headache I've had from 5/24/11 - current (7/6/11). What am I supposed to do. The doctors won't even listen to me. Didn't they take a hiipocratic oathn to first DO NO HARM. What nerve Dr. Death Oops I mean Doon***f.

EAST LIVERPOOL , I am writing you 1st off to send my condolence. I'm so sorry for your loss!! Second can I ask where the cyst was in

Hormonally, mentally and with my memory. Was there anys signs before she passed? I'm having another MRI this evening. Is there anything they should be looking for? Thanks for Your Time Take care & God Bless!!!

Hello. My name is Samantha, I am 14 years old. I have been diagnosed with a pineal cyst, (4.7mm). I was diagnosed 1/31/12. I have been having multiple symptoms that started all of a sudden in the summer of 2011. I have had recurring headaches, constant nausea, blurred vision (but perfect eyesight), pain on my right side next to my rectus abdominis muscles, slightly enlarged lymph nodes, irrititation in my stomach, heartburn very often, sharp pains in my shoulderblades and upper mid spine area, dizziness, fatigue, and maybe gout on my middle toe. I know these symptoms are not all related, but I want everyone to know what I feel so they can tell me I am not alone.
I had my gallbladder removed October of 2011. That did not help with anything. It just made things worse. I have had 2 endoscopies, 1 labroscopy, 1 brain MRI, 1 CT on my abodomen and my pelvis, and a Bravo Probe suctioned on the wall of my esophagus. I have met with 2 gastroenterologists, 1 rheumatoid specialist, a family doctor, and will see a neurosurgeon soon. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia by 2 doctors, the others did not think that was necessary. This all started less than a year ago.
No one has a clue as to what is going on. I am not able to attend school because my health is taking control of my life.
I NEED ANSWERS!!!
