I'm a runner...I run through pain. I've had shin splints before...ran through them. This time, i really ignored by body's warning signals and now I have a stress fracture. At least 6 weeks with no running. After I acted like a petulant child and threw a tantrum (really just in my head, but still...), I decided to hit the gym and tackle some other machines besides the treadmill. Hate is a strong word, but I really do not like them. Here's my query...how can I keep the definition I've worked so hard for in my legs. The tone and definition that ONLY running can give? Trying not to freak out. 8O Suggestions and advice would be greatly appreciated. Btw, I don't workout outside much in the winter, so I'd really like suggestions for indoor workouts.
