How does abortion affect someone socially?

For an individual who made the choice to have an abortion that decision ultimately affects them socially for the rest of their life.

As Time goes on, life goes on and life events takes away from thinking about it all the time.   But everytime they go to the doctor or go to the hospital or have someone in any part of the medical community they see their records and see that they did have an abortion.  This individual immediately has the suit of armour on again knowing they are being judged by the individual before them,  being judged by the decision they made,  Wondering what they are thinking and knowing they know this secret they have kept to themselves.  

When a person makes the decision on their own to proceed with an abortion they absolutely have no doubt in their minds this is what must happen.  But, the act of the abortion and that person's decision slowly eats away at your soul because of your decision.  You are reminded -  you at times may be questioned from an individual in the medical profession, news artilces, advocate rallies and socially maybe a conversation or an opionion expressed about it.  It feels like a dark dirty secret that festers inside of you that you feel uncomfortable to let anyone know.
