Dont Worry! First,just start taking less,you dont need 12 mil..just keep getting the script and SAVING them so you have extra.Make a plan.Be determined.Get gabapentin,blood pressure meds.Sleeping pills.SAVE these.
Start weaning,do not do it in a month.Do it very very slowly,keeping cutting down,at least once a month,get to the lowest you can tolerate,then ,when you are on a tiny amount,start with taking it once a day,then every other day,then every 3rd day,then once a week! You can do this!
These meds will help,alot.You dont have to torchure yourself! Just get a plan,and stick to it.
I was addicted to sub for 5 years,terrified of withdrawl,misusing it,ect.Im now 505 days clean! And thats how I did it!

robert i am on day15 of being off subs for 4 years and let me tell you i am going thru hell maybe i was on too long but thats what my docs wanted i am going to beat this but it is the tuffest thing i have ever done its the mental side of it that has me crippled very emotional cant sleep no energy i have heard that it could be months of this well whatever it takes

long ........................i'm sure in that.......mild withdrawals from bupr..or sub's...i don't think sooooo...after day 3 or 4 than it will be funny.....if u r better after 4 th day....u r ok..but if not...than expect long and hard withdrawals..little bit mild than from H but longer....sorry scary but true....

Good job bro!! Man, I can't wait to kick suboxone! Currently, I'm taking 2mg pieces of film twice a day. I've gotten down to 1mg a day and screwed up and started taking more.
I started taking seroquel for the insomnia and hate that too. God, I can't wait to be free from this sh*t...

I am on the same exact path as you. I definitely don't desire that life I used to have getting high but I'm very nervous about how much anxiety and stress imma have to go through once I'm totally off suboxone since I've been on something almost for 14 years. It seriously scares me to think about it

The withdrawals are then times worse than any other opiate, don't give these people false hope that its not thaaat hard to stop. I tried for years to stop, would get as far as one month and then the no sleep, sweats, body temp changes, mood changed, antisocial behavior, impotence, bone loss, dental issues, etc. Would draw u back in just for one nights rest so you literally wouldn't lie from lack of sleep. Talk about the Walking Dead, I was a shell of the man I was. Your not doing anyone any favors trying to defend this medication, it has ruined countless lives. Just for a comparison, heroine-oxys-opanas-fent patches morphine pops, and basically all normally opiates had a withdrawal period on average of 3-5 days, with the PAWS (post acute withdrawal symptoms) lasting approx. 6 months, lil more lil less depending on that person n their method of using and duration that person was talking it. At the very the most, u should be past the Withdrawal and PAWS after about 8 month or so. Now with subs that's a monster of its own. Normal withdrawal from subs with or without Naloxone is between a month to 3 months depending again on that specific patients dosage n time on the medications. Now hesitate the real terrible scary thing. The PAWS for Bupe can last anywhere between 18-24 MONTHS. Imagine having trouble sleeping, or snapping out of the funk and deprresion-anxiety bupes originally put u in, n thinking about wanting to take one to settle ur stomach down so u can eat for the first time after hopping off, or ur teeth falling out, restless legs like Bruce Jenner running away from telling a trans pride speech again, for literally at minimum 18 months, n up to 2 years from what a few others including myself who somehow miraculously were able to shake this devil medication. People have died, which u will never hear about because the doctors want to say it was suicide or accidents so they don't look there thru office visit fee of $200-$350 (not covered by insurances) or the prescription each month (also not covered by insurance). These doctors are making millions off the backs n wallets of these struggling souls. Yet u have the nerve to sit here and protect these hack doctors or this poison. Let me take a wild guess, ur either a long time patient of subs, or are a regional sales manger of sales of Suboxone©. U should be ashamed of yourself, minimalizing the impact this medication is having on our young, middle aged n elderly who are still on this poison never to come off because their bodies would not know how to react to not having its daily dose of poison. You see very reckless with you attached comment. U have a right to believe what you want, but keep ur opinions to urself when some younger person can ready that n think its okay to start taking bupes. It was originally created to take for 3 days max under supervision in a detox facility. I don't know how they got so off course. The call Methadone liquid handcuffs. Bupes are the same but people r railing them, shooting them up now, n sublinguals if u have any common sense at all. A comment coming from someone who had never felt even the taste of a bupe withdrawal. Good luck to all the addicts n keep ur angels close n idiots like this far out of ur recovering lives.
