I'm 17 years old and I just recently had unprotected sex for the first time. I'm not on any kind of birth control and I'm afraid I might be pregnant. The day after we had sex I woke up and my stomach feels nauseous and is constantly growling. i don't know if that's normal or if something is wrong. Also, I can't wait to see if I'm pregnant because my period doesn't come but every 2-3 months and only last 2-3 days. I'm going to take the plan B pill today. Is this enough?

Hi Guest,

You can take Plan B up until 72 hours after you've had sex.  After that it MAY work until about day 5.  That's at best.  The longer you wait the less effective it is.

It is normal to feel cramping and even be nauseous after having sex.  Your body isn't used to it.

You need to wait at least 2 weeks after having sex to test.  The longer you wait the more accurate the results will be.  False negatives are VERY common.  A false positive is VERY rare.  Be sure to use your first morning urine for the best results.

Good luck.
