for instance:
Whenever i ge tout of my car, i remove the keys with my right hand, then automatically put them in my left hand so i can close the door with my right. I then drop my keys in my left pocket, then wonder where the hell my keys are when i go to get in my car again. Of course the first pocket i go for is the right one.
How many times did you look all around for your sunglasses, start tearing things up only to find them on your head?
I was late to a training session one time because i took a half hour looking for my keys, when they were in the back of my singlet that i was wearing the whole time.
You>?

I have been athletic director for 3 years. For the past 3 years, I have been responisible setting up they gym for game nights. Scoreboard, announcer, someone to sing or play the national anthem, programs, money boxes, etc.,
Well since this year I am head girls basketball coach as well, I am constantly forgetting something. Don't get the rosters to the secretary for the programs, forget to get someone to sing, etc... You name it, I've forgotten it.

Sounds like coach needs a checklist.
Sounds like coach needs a checklist.or an assistant
I can't remember. DANG IT!!!
Don't get me started...all of the time, especially with the recent move. It's getting better, but there are still mornings when Ihave 6 black boots and none match!
I am such a creature of habit. I unload my pockets in the same place at home and if I put my wallet, billfold, keys, pen or phone somewhere other than the counter in the kicthen it is "lost" and I have to start tearing the house up and worrying one of the kids did something with the lost item--even though they never, ever have.
All the time, you are not alone. I think a lot of it is that we're all so busy and trying to do too many things at once, often in a hurry...and end up forgetting stuff. I can't tell you how many times I had to lock my keys in the house on the way out the door before I put a spare in my purse....and one in my car.....and my desk at work....
Sounds like coach needs a checklist. No doubt about that John! I will add that to my "to do" list today! (I actually thought about writing one of these during Christmas Break, but man, it was break, I didn't wanna work )
Not so much "stuff", that's the easy part. For me the hard part is appointments & meetings. For the first time ever, I had to break down and carry a pocket calender last year. Now I can't go but a couple hours without checking what's up next. I used to be able to keep it all in my head, but no way anymore.
I can remember very specific details about obscure events which is very good in police work. Ask me to make a phone call, and if I get distracted I will forget. I have virtually no short term memory but my long term is excellent.
I hear that RTPD, i still remember 158 bones in the body from 8th grade, but ask me to pick up some Maxi pads on the way home from work? Yea, i'll remember that, not.
I even forget to eat on occaision.
