I am a 35 year old single mom who was diagnosed last July with Cardiomyopathy and a left bundle branch block. In April my EF was 48% and I was stable. For the past week I have been having palpitations and chest tightness off and on. Also, I have noticed that I get short of breath while talking. Is it possible that my EF has dropped in just 3 months?

Do they know what is causing/cause the cardiomyopathy?
They think that it was viral because I had the flu prior to the first incident. I am incredibly nervous because of these symptoms and think that may be really making everything worse. =/
Anxiety can certainly worsen your symptoms.
See your cardiologist and get it checked though. For your health as well as your peace of mind.
