Hi Northeast - did you ever find anyone - I too don't want to travel to FL if possible. Please let me know how your surgery went. Thanks, JRG from NJ

You sound like a needy person! It takes time for the body to readjust after surgery.

I'm working on getting approval for out of network coverage in order to become a patient of yours. I also have a thyroid nodule and hopefully this problem can be taken care of too. What happens if a thyroid nodule is cancer? Do you have to remove a part of the thyroid or is patient referred elsewhere?

Nice that you break rules on this website but allow no room for error in your group. You really should not allow the fact that Norman would not write a book with you effect you so much. The look is not a good one.

How did the surgery go? Cured?

I was not and am not a needy person. I was a person who landed in the ER *twice* when I returned home because I was having severe tachycardia. Apparently a rare side effect of Normans surgery, which no one tells you about. When I called Norman to ask for advice he cursed at me, said "you're f$cking cured" and told me to "go take a beta blocker." He cursed at me repeatedly pre-op and post-op. He referred to my other doctors as "a$$holes." when j started having the tachycardia in Tampa I called the center because I was scared to fly with my heart rate skyrocketed at 140 BPM. Instead of telling me to go to the ER he said "it would pass" and told me to go on my merry way. Only for me to land in the ER back at home. It didn't pass. They wipe their hands clean and send you away ASAP bc they won't want any complications to skew their "success rates." My case was borderline malpractice.

Yes, that about sums it up for a number of patients, and without any recourse whatsoever.

Thank heavens for the American Association of Endocrine Surgeons patient education website, and their expert endocrine surgeon locator, where one can find unbiased info + service after-the-sale.

To set the record perfectly straight, I called off the deal. :)

Omg im so sorry for what you had to go through. I hope you are feeling well. I am having this surgery in a couple of weeks in Indianapolis. I have an awesome endocrinologist. Ive been reading about this Dr Norman and something just doesnt seem right. I dont get how a proper surgery can be done in 20 minutes and with a band aid. Plz keep a watch on your pth and ca levels!

Id get a lawyer and take this clown for a ride. Also, contact a Medical Board for his constant swearing at patients and offering no aftercare. What a piece of work!
