Hi, I am 49 years old and I have problems with my bladder. Sometimes I am not able to control my urine. When I visited my doctor and told him what is happening he ordered me few examination and conclusion was that I suffer from hyperreflexic bladder. I was very upset with it so I would like to know what it means.

Hi, there are many people why has problem with incontinence. Also this may be caused by hyperreflexic bladder as your doctor told you. Such disorder originated from nervous system. It may be caused by disorder in central nerve system, in the brain, or in the peripheral nerve system, peripheral nerves which innervate your bladder. However your doctor will know the best, according the different result, where is the cause for your problem
