I am not be looking at the right spot or forum but nonetheless, I have a different problem. I am 42-year-old woman who has had two episodes of low blood sugar, both times requiring a visit to a local ED. I am currently waiting to be evaluated at a major medical center. After searching the internet, I ahve found that drinking alcohol can be the case of low blood sugar? Do you think that drinking alcohol is the cause of my problems? Should I avoid it at all costs? I drink a glass of wine every evening with dinner. Any other personal experiencs?
It's possible it's the wine, but if it is truly just a glass of wine and you've been doing it for a while, I would look elsewhere.
It can also be caused by endocrine disorders, kidney disorders, some medications, or even a tumor.
You need a thorough evaluation.
