Hi, I have met my friend from school yesterday in the market. I haven't seen her for a long time but I've noticed she is very concerned and sad. After few minutes of talk she told me that her baby is suffering from hypomyelination neuropathy. I saw that she was very upset so I would like to know something more about hypomyelination.
Hi, unfortunately your friend has really big reason for worrying because hypomyelination is very severe disease. It is neurological disorder which appears at the birth. It may affect respiratory system, cause muscle weakness and lower reflexes. Also it may cause inability to move some parts of body. There is no specific treatment for this disorder and prognosis is poor.
