I feel lump in throat when swallow. What this could be??

Try some antiacid and see if it will assist, I had a feeling like an olive seed that moved when I swalloed and came ack to the same area after swallowing this was a coule of years ago and now it is a different feeling a feeling of ressure, lumy feeling different to the one I had earlier, and ressure from middle of throat to uer chest area. also have allergies

I have similar symptoms and also anxiety, its so uncomfortable and having anxiety does not help, i was doing research and i came across this link, it has put me at a little at ease, and i will mention it to my doctor see what she says. My only thing is that my symptoms include feeling like my tongue is going to get paralyzed. Has anybody else gotten this weird feeling? like you are being chocked and and on top of that the almost paralyzed feeling?

I actually have the same exact problem. Same age, and same situation. I think it's a hormone thing as we are developing and going through puberty

If your utensils are inflamed and have white puss dots, you definitely need to get them OUT. especially If your having the earaches

you might have a whole in your asophagus. My mother who is 55 just recently found out her cough is because of a little hope in her asophagus. The good news is that it's not dangerous, so don't worry. However she is looking at getting surgery to get it fixed, so there is a solution! The kicker for the past 20 years she's been told its asthma and has been buying and taking medicines for asthma for those years! Hi all, i am 27 years old, in last year college faculty of medicine
I was suffering when I Was around 18 from bad breath,frequent flu attacks , rapid heart beats and indigestion. (and recently a stomach Ulcer)
I went when i was young To a cvs doctor for palpitations, and high bp, he prescribed bb, which i didnt like
Then when i Got an ulcer i went To gastroentrologist, he diagnosed me as GERD and prescribed The Usual drugs, that worsened me more, i eventually Got late in college and finally felt throat lump and irritation in back of pharynx,
Anyway i couldnt study at all, i see my Condition as this,
I have bad cough reflex, i usually aspire fluids a lot while eating , that lead to palpitations over time and indigestion which lead eventually to chest infections.
What i Tried, dnt cough except only when necessary, dnt spit Saliva, and ensure an efficient cough when u do, focus much while drinking, eat frequent small meals and dnt take GERD antibiotics as they will worsen u
I got better , my cough reflex improved and so did my digestion, i will be monitoring replies , and good luck

I have the same problem too. But I also have painful feet, muscles that flutter, dizziness and problems with my eyesight. I am scared that I have MS and I am yet to go to the doctors. Trouble swallowing is a symptom of MS.

Dont diagnose yourself as you have quite a few issues dot hesitate just see a doctor and start having faith in a higher BEING let us know the diagnosis you will e fine it could also e stress related

Hi Guys,

I am experiencing symptoms similar to many of you:

- feels as if there is something in my throat when I swallow (is fairly painful and altogether miserable); my throat is not otherwise sore or painful, however this swallowing issue has become intolerable

- swollen lymph nodes

I just got back from an appointment with an ENT doctor. I was diagnosed with an infection in my larynx. I was prescribed with steroids and some stomach medicine (the steroids have adverse effects on the stomach). I have a follow up appointment tomorrow and if it is not that much better by then, the ENT is sending me to the ER, as this infection could directly affect my ability to breath.

The doctor also removed a tonsilith (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tonsillolith) from my right tonsil which was very quick and painless.

I will report back with how I am feeling following the steroid treatment tomorrow. I strongly encourage you all to visit an ENT doctor. I live in NYC and was able to get an appt. with my insurance (AETNA) within 1.5 hours of the actual appt. using ZocDoc.
