I'm "Weird" too. LOL I'm 42, and this year has been really whacked. I got it in Jan/Feb, Skipped March, got it April, May, and June, Skipped July, Had it in August, Now I'm curious about September. Who knows what it's going to do. My weight loss/gain is unsteady, and if I don't get cramps a week before I get it, then I know I'm not getting it at all. Your not alone....Try this: I can't do it, because I have open wounds in my groin, but this used to work everytime when I was your age. Around the time that you are "Supposed" to get it, run a hot bath, and put salt in it. I know it sounds stupid, but it will bring it on. Also drink Chamomile tea, or add a good handful of parsley to your food. A combination, or simply the bath alone, will help you re-schedule yourself. Hope that helps.

Hi there, do you take birth control or anything that keeps your period regular or something like that? I am trying to figure out why that would be happening. Let me know, okay?

Hey sunshineangel, I hope that you're still around and able to answer my question. Can you let me know if you take birth control? Let me know!

I am 27 and have had irregular periods since I can remember. I talk to gyns about it and all they want to do is put me on birth control. I am married and birth control just isn't an option for me but I have been worried as it seems it may be hard for me to conceive. One time i went 6 months without a period, had a period twice in one month, it is just soo irregular that I can't help but think this isn't normal. The only way I know I'm getting my period is when I get pms. No doctor has ever answered my questions, they suggest the same thing, pregnancy test and birth control!!
I feel releived however that i'm not the only one out there!!
And to the 'pregnant in the shower girl', you cannot get pregnant in the shower this is impossible.

That is so weird, I'm the same way & i was wondering the same thing. I'm 15 im really short and only way 93 pounds... but mine goes up to four or five. I have asked my mom and she doesn't know but she said she thinks its normal because of my size. I wonder about it all the time. Don't worry your not the only one, and I'm glad to know I'm not either (: It's a relief. I was thinking about going to a doctor but then again I have seen no signs of anything wrong. The only thing I hate, Is if i ever wanted to have sex there is no way of knowing if I missed a period because mine isn't regular, It varies. Well anyways it's up to you to either go to a doctor or Just continue on with your life. I actually enjoy it because, I hear all these girls complain about it (: lol Please write back...

My Mom and I have our periods every 3 months regularly and I keep track of mine stringently. For the past four cycles my period has been: July 16-21, October 30-November 4, February 6-11 and May 8-XX (hasn't finished yet). She's been the same way since she was my age (I'm 18) and although when I first began having my period it was monthly it quickly leveled out to its current schedule. I don't find anything wrong with it --I rarely ever cramp, I don't get bitchy, it's not particularly light or heavy-- but I am curious for an explanation. Since Mom and I are both the same way I've always wondered if it was genetic. Does anyone else share a similar cycle with their parent or another close relative?

For the record I'm not overweight or underweight. I work out regularly with the Navy (I leave for boot camp in fewer than 30 days) and eat healthy, though this has not always been the case. I like to keep myself busy and so I do work a lot, but I'm always very relaxed (so it can't be stress, either, even though I work with kids lol).

I'm 18 years old, I got my period when I was 12 or 13. I get my period every 3 months or so. sometimes sooner and sometimes later. i was never really worried about it, but lately I have been. I am thinking about going to the gynecologist, because I really want to have kids someday and I want to make sure that my irregularity will not compromise my ability to conceive.

funny enough you say iam i over weight it s atually people who are underweight whos period comes less regulary or not at all, so no . how is your iron intake, this can effect it, how is your diet, do you eat a healthy balanced meals, and it could all be doen to your hormones, if you are really worried why not go talk to your gp he or she will be able to give you the best advice and rid you of any worries

This happens to me too! I don't know why it happens, but when I do end up getting my period, it's extremely heavy. I'm not overweight, I'd like to think that I'm really healthy and I'm not on any medicines. It's really strange.

I first got my period when I was 13, then didn't see it again for a year, since then it's been every quater. I'm glad it's not every month, lol.

It's nothing to freak out about. I am 22 years old and when I was your age the same exact thing was happening to me. You're not weird or fat. I would agree with booking a GYN appointment. it is mostlikely a hormonal embalance which can be regulated with a birth control that's just right for your body. Like I said, it happend to me when I was your age, and I've been off birth control for over a year now and I still operate every 3 months or so.

Another thing to keep in mind is if you're stressed whether it be school exams or family or your sleep pattern is irregular, it could throw off your whole cycle.

HOPE THIS HELPS :-)
