Hello,
Since I was 12 I have had my period every 3 months also, I am now 24. My husband and I have been trying to have a baby for 3 years now! I'm just wondering if it took you that long to have babies? And if you did anything to help you? Thanks<3

I'm the same, I'm 15 ad have been having my periods since I was 12... Mine come whenever I don't have specificc times sometimes it'll be 2 weeks sometimes and sometimes 4/5 months... My mum thinks it's because I'm underweight and too skinny there for not having enough fat on my body which is needed for the hormones to make the process work...

Well im 15 and my birthday is feb 7 and the first week of jan i started and i was embarrassed and hate that i was a girl then feb and march rolled a round i was good then april i came on and may i was good now its June 15 2012 but i started yesterday and i hate this so bad. I hope i dont come on next month because im gone hate it i want to come on in september. This sh*t is embarrassing me and i was hoping to start this when i became 25 but nope it had to be when i was 14

I had this problem too. I was sixteen when I didn't get my period for six months or so and hen it did come back I bled for about two months. In those two months I would get super light flows and then mediums until the end when it flowed like Niagara Falls. I got very scared, but it stopped the next day. I'm seventeen now, and I have my period about every 3 months. I haven't gone to a doctor about it, but from what I've heard it is just hormones.

i have the same thing but i wont have it for 3 to 5 months and then when i get it its for two months no stopping.... idk i don't think its normal

Hi I'm 22 And I Hadn't Had My Period Since Last Year (2011) I Cannot Recall The Last Time I Had My period Its Been about 7 Months Since Laat Year And I burley Started My Period Today. I've Always Had It Every 3-5 Months But This Has Been The Lonqest. In a Way I'm Worried Due To Conceivnq But In Another Its Good Not To Put Up Witt It For a Week Every Month.

Im soon to be 23 and my periods were irregular until I started taking birth control. As soon as I stopped taking the pill, my period became irregular again. The longest that I have ever went without having one was 6 month.

May of 2010 I decided to start trying to have a child. I figured I'd have problems getting pregnant seeing that I never had a regular period (doctors say that you have to have a period to have a baby). I found out the beginning of July that I was pregnant. I had only tried 3 times and my conception date ended up being the 1st time that I tried. What makes things interesting is that my last period was in March. I didn't have a period for 3 months but got pregnant the first time that I tried.

Makes me think that doctors have it all wrong.

I also get my period every 2-3 months I'm 17 years old 5'3 or 5'4 and 145 pounds. I don't know if that's over weight or not if someone could tell me and one of my friends who is skinny doesn't get her period either till 2-3 months later and she went to the doctor the doctor told her she lacks in vitamin E and after taking the vitmain E pills she says she started getting her periods regularily. I haven't tried the pills but I might but the difference is that am I over weight and need to lose weight? When I went to the doctor they told me it's ok it takes some years to get normal cycle and it's only not normal if I don't get my period for over 6 months. I first got my period like 2 months before my 14th birthday. Could someone help and if I'm over weight how can I lose weight? Thanks! :)

I'm almost 16 and I started my period when I was 11. I've been having irregular periods for about 2 years. I have mine once every 4 months or so. but when I do get mine, it lasts for a really long time, like, 4 or 5 weeks. I'm not overweight and I maintain a healthy diet. I think it's just horemones acting crazy.

I am 20 years old..i have irregular periods...it may comes in 2 mnth,3 mnths,or else..i got my last periods on may..till now i'm not getting my periods..i'm scarred to consult doctors..and a same time...i missed my mother lst year..if i want to go to see doctor means i have to go alone..i'm not interested..wat can i do to get my periods..pls hlp me

Im currently 19 and im not sexually active and i dont take birth control and i also have the same problem. i've asked my mom and she said she doesnt know. But apparenlty my aunt is the same too. And my mom said that may be why her kids has such large age gaps. But it shouldnt be too much of a problem until you plan on having kids....maybe??

My periods are every three months to the dot. Started them when I was 16 and I'm 27 now. I wish we had been told that menstrual cycles could be longer than a month in sex ed as it caused me a lot of concern & embarrassment as a senior in high school. When my period comes it lasts ten days is heavy but manageable and I get bad PMT. My mum ans sister also have three monthly cycles as does my dad's mum And 2 of my mum's sisters. My mum conceived very easily with all 3 of us but one of my aunts needed fertility treatment. So I guess I have to wait and see when we start trying for a baby. I've discussed them with my docter who isn't concerned.
