I had sex with my boyfriend 4 or 5 weeks ago could i be pregnant? I have been having stomach cramps, nausea (without throwing up), headaches, tired all the time, and i ate at red lobster with my family last night and the seafood smell and texture made me want to throw up! My boyfriend was with me and he is the one scared, I was scared but i am trying not to freak out because I read that if u stress out ur period will be late and if u think about the symptons ur body will start to have them. And my boyfriend did NOT cum in me. I had my period the next day! But I am a little worried because both our families DONT know we are having sex. I also have NOT taken a pregnancy test yet, when should i take one? Am I pregnant?

You should definitely get a pregnancy test! Also, when is your next period supposed to come? If you skip this one, take another test.

Keep in mind that YES you can skip your period/it can be late if you are stressed. So try to relax!

Did you guys have protection? Condoms, birth control, anything? If so, I would be less concerned. But honestly, I'd still take a test just to put your mind at ease!

Take a test this week, if it comes back negative, take another one the following week. If THAT one comes back negative, I'd say you're pretty safe.

If any of them come back positive, take one or two more tests just to confirm!

Dear music

The likelihood of pregnancy is extremely low, but not zero.

  1. You can only get pregnant after an egg has been fertilised.
  2. Sperm can live in a woman's for about 5 days
  3. Sperm has to enter the vagina within the 6 days upto and including ovulation in order to fertilise an egg.
  4. Usually there is only one egg released a month, and that would normally be (with a 28-day cycle) about 14 days after a period start.

Therefore with a normal cycle of events there would be no chance of pregnancy. However ...

  1. Sperm can reach the fallopian tubes in less than 1 hour.
  2. Sperm could reach the fallopian tubes before the period starts, so would not be flushed out.
  3. An extraordinary ovulation could occur at any time, and so get fertilised.

That is not very likely, but pregnancy has been known to occur from sex even during a period.

But sperm does have to get into the vagina, and pre-cum can contain sperm.

If 4-5 weeks ago was the only (or last) time of sexual contact (sperm transfer can occur manually), then a test can be taken now.

Hope this helps
