I went through health and was told that blemishes could appear anywhere. I read through a topic not too long ago on here and think that I might have a problem. . . I am not sexually active, at all.
I had a blemish above my clitoris and to the side a little bit; I noticed this when I was taking a shower and wanted to see if it would pop. A little bit of puss came out and it didn't worry me much, so I thought it was just a blemish until I realized the swelling it did like a blemish would do on your face or anywhere on your body if it was messed with too much. . . I wash down there always, but don't know what else it could be.
Is it just sensitive skin to laundry detergent or something?
Irritation to my soap that I'm using?
Could it be the heat? (I know of heat blemishes)
This was just random, out of the blue thing. I am thinking it might be just a blemish, but I am not sure about it. My appointment with the Gynecologist is in August and my dad won't move it back so I can get checked for STD's.. this has only happened to me once and like I said, it was out of the blue. Some advice would help, please?

Hello (: My name is arisa and i am 13. I know im a bit young but the same thing had happened to me. I did go to the doctor about it and it turns out that its a normal thing, its almost like a bug bite, you may get them every once in a while. If you wash to hard down there, or even touch it enough it will swell and end up like you have described it. They are usually caused from sweat, if you dont get it clean enough then bacteria can begin to grow and cause a rash or simple bumps. dont worry about it. If you keep it clean and dont mess with it then it will go away in a hurry.
