It's officially summer! And that can only mean one thing - festival season! Partying day and night, seeing your favorite artists live, hanging out with your girlfriends in the sun and having a few days off work... what could be better?! The only problem with festivals is that you don't get to have a shower - nor do you get to wash your hair, or wash your face properly... so it's little wonder that it's difficult to stay looking fabulous. But if you follow our clever hair and beauty tips, you can look a million dollars each and every time you step out of your tent, making everyone else think "How does she look that good?"

Keeping Clean
It might sound obvious, but if you're feeling a bit yucky because you haven't been able to just hop into the shower to wash your hair, or your body, you won't feel pretty, no matter how much makeup you put on. So it's important to keep clean as best as you can. Obviously, you don't have a full shower, so you'll have to improvise a little bit.
Take plenty of makeup wipes for your face and for your body, either use wipes, or take a small bottle of shower gel and have a strip wash. All you need is a bit of water, the shower gel and a towel and you'll be able to get squeaky clean. Take anti-bacterial gel, too - you'll use it far more than you might think.
Preparation is Key
Putting in a little bit of legwork before you actually get to the festival means that you'll look your very best when you're there. Get your eyebrows and eyelashes tinted before you go - it'll make your features stand out and will make your eyes pop even if you don't have time to put mascara on. Another option is to get lash extensions, and to get your eyebrows shaped - you can even get eyebrow extensions now if your's are looking a bit bare!
As for your hair, wash with a clarifying shampoo just before you head out and apply a deep conditioning treatment to the tips of hair. That should mean that you won't need to use dry shampoo for at least a day or two, which gives you more time to get on with more important things - like partying!

Don't Forget the Anti-Perspirant
Your anti-perspirant will probably be your best friend at the festival as it'll hide a multitude of sins - particularly towards the end of the festival when you've been without a shower or running water for three or four days. Don't forget perfume, either! Get a solid perfume stick as it lasts longer, plus, you don't have to worry about it leaking in your bag.
