I am a student from China. This term, I became a Grade 9 student. I am not happy these days because i have some problems.
At school,I have a lot of homework to do every day and I have no choice but to do it. When I get home at night, I often stay up late to finish my homework. As a result, I am sleepy the next day and find it difficult to stay awake in class.
Moreover, my parents are very strict with me. at weekends, my parents don't allow me to stay out with my friends. they always ask me to stay at home and study.
Now, i have no time to relax. I cannot imagine my life without my hobbies. And i often doubt whether my parents really love me. Can you give me some advice?

Hey, I'm pretty sure they love you and are motivating you the only way they know how. I'm from Nigeria and I understand parents assuming they know all that is best for you and your inputs are basically a form of laziness. I'd suggest talking to them though, so you don't get really stressed.
