About 4 months ago my testicle became really sore and it grew in size and was red... Later this went away... But, last week I had fever and cough and my testicle is now somewhat sore though no where near as the last time. It also seems to hang slightly lower than my other testicle… What can this be? Is it possible that it is a cancer??? can anyone offer advice??
Well, really I don’t think that anyone can really tell you what that really is. You should go visit your doctor!!! Sorry for not giving you any advice but I can tell you I don't think it will be cancerous. The most testicle problems are normal and easy to fix. Good luck.

Cancer is usually hard lumps on the smooth surface of your testicle or in the soft tissue just behind it. Also, almost 90% guys have one testicle that hangs lower than the other. Also, very often one is bigger. I doubt you have anything to worry about at all.

My one testicle does really feel larger than the other one. Also, there is a pain that comes and goes. There are times when I even have to be careful how I sit in order to prevent pain. My one testicle is tender as well.

ive recently come to this problem as well, i went to my doctor, when it first happend, i went to the emergency room because there was some pain, and it was 5am. he felt for lumps - none - decided it was an infection ... whether he meant sexually transmitted infection, or just bacterial infection, i dont know ... i was just happy it wasnt cancer or testicular torsion ... the antibiotics cleared it for a while, but it came back and began happening about a month later ... i went to my family doctor this time, and he asked questions about my sexual history - i had been with a new partner, who wished to abstain from sex until she was married and i oblidged, so i hadnt had sex in approx. 10 months, which ruled out an STD/STI. he said it was 'epididimititis' - complicated word, yes, but ur epididimus is the connection between ur testicle and ur body, which stores the sperm after creation in the testicle until it is needed. he gave me some antibiotics - different from the last - which helped again, but now, a month later, i am having problems again, and have an appointment on friday for the doctor ... this is not very pleasant ...

I am on day nine of cyprofloxacin (10 days, twice daily) for the same inflammation, and it seems as if there is still slight swelling and discomfort. I am surprised that this could still be a continued aggravation. I will very likely see my doctor again late this week.

I was going through the beginning of a cold when I also came down with the same symptoms...after a few days of pain, I finally went in to see the Dr, he said it was an infection of the epitditamis (sp?) and he gave me the same thing, Cipro.

I just started Day 1 tonight and will be on the pills for two weeks. He said it should all go away soon.

I'm hoping, after reading all this c**p, that the pain does go away and doesn't come back on and off like with you guys. It's actually not even bad at the moment, but again, I just hope it goes away.

Thanx for all the posts, they've really helped...and now they have me worried.

I've been experiencing this as well, A few people have made some comments jokingly but i'm beginning to think their right. I started dating the beginning of the year and had sex in january. We haven't had sex in about 3mos but i do get hard often. Without masterbating/sex i think is were the sore/pain happens. The call it 'blueballs' but after having constent releases the pain stops... maybe be helpful

hi i also had this problem sometime ago and apparently its very common in young people pai drifting to each testicle then goes them comes back i was told just to wear loose boxer shorts and i took that advice and now feel fine but maybe you should go get checks for stds? as this could relate to your problem but usually if they don't fine anything in your blood and there is no lumps then it is your tight boxer shorts or phaze that your going through always best to get it checked out just to be on the safe side tc
