Hello! Few months ago I started to feel nervousness, dizziness, sleepiness and confusion. I thought I was under stress and I needed a break. I actually had all those symptoms long time ago but they were not so intensive. Then I went to see my doctor and he had my blood tested. My blood sugar was low. Then I had to test my blood sugar in various situations, before and after meal, before and after exercises and I was really tired of that. Then he said I should eat small meals and snacks about every 3 hours exercise regularly choose high-fiber foods. I do everything he said but my hypoglycemia is getting worse.
Hello! There are two types of hypoglycemia that occur in people who do not have diabetes: reactive (or after meals) and fasting (postabsorptive). You haven’t specified which one is diagnosed in your case. If your condition is getting worse I think you should talk to your doctor again and ask him to arrange further tests of your liver, heart and kidneys since some illness which affect them can cause hypoglycemia. Also, you have to check your hormones. The results will determine a diagnosis and treatment.
