I am only 13, I am having a gassy, pressure feeling right above my hip. It has been going on for quite some time. It has recently gotten worse and I am quite alarmed. I am super scared I have colon cancer or something. My mom does this alternative healing thing called Neat and she says it is tied to grief. I do trust this stuff but what would some of you Western doctors say to my problem. Please please help
No, I doubt it's a colon cancer, you're only thirteen. About 90 percent of people diagnosed with colon cancer are older than 50. Have you noticed some change in your bowel habits, diarrhea or constipation or a change in the consistency of your stool? Have you noticed any rectal bleeding or blood in your stool? A gassy, pressure feeling right above your hip could be related to your ovaries too (if you are a girl). Do you get your period regularly? These could be PMS symptoms too. Talk to your mother about it.
Sorry I forgot to mention I am a guy. I wen to the doctor, they did an ex ray and a cat scan. They found no masses near my bowels so that is good. They did say I have a lot in stool in my bowels so they gave my some merilax. They only change in my bowel behavior is the stool is a little loser and there is a lot less. So in the end I guess it all adds up. Thanks, that helped a lot
