Hello, I was born with an undesended testicle and I had to have an operation when I was a baby to have it put in my schrotum and for the last year and a bit, my right testicle had descended back up, it doesn't exactly go far, it just goes above my penis/ where my pubes start, and I can easily push it back down, wanted to hear people's opinions on this as I haven't got a clue, would seriously appreciate a reply, I have tried Google searching it but it didn't really help..

Hey there how old are you and when does this happen? Does it happen when you are sexually excited or just random times ?

14, and at random times, seems to happen sometimes when I'm swimming on holiday, but it started when I woke up in the middle of the night, about a year and a half ago.

If the testicle has already been pexed to the scrotum, then it sounds as if you have a high-riding testicle, which cause is unknown. It could be an overactive or strong cremaster reflex, but only a urologist would be able to tell. The main issue I see is if this causes you a lot of discomfort and pain or that this may become an ascending testicle.

Okay thank you, does this mean I should be going to see my gp?

Seeing as to how I am not giving you any sort of reliable medical advice other than what I have gleaned from reading in medical websites and journals, I would say yes. You should definitely consult with a doctor or specialist in order to sort this out and get a better idea of what may be happening. Who knows? It could be nothing.

It could be an over reactive testicle does it cause you any pain and how long does it stay like that? Have you hit puberty yet?

Not long and yes

Usually one one hits puberty their testicles are large enough that they will not retract up into the inguinal canal so you should be ok as long as they don't stay up long and don't cause pain
