I live in the UK, England and I have major depression. I suffer from self-harm and im only 14 years old. Is there anyway I can get antidepressants from the doctor or anywhere without my parens finding out. I know that I should tell my parents but I physically hate my parents and I cant stand them let alone tell them something like this. My mum doesnt believe in antidepressants anyways. I have attempted suicide in the past and I am seriously concidering it again. I have tried talking to friends but it just doesn't help and I have no close family so I have no idea where else to turn. Please help me!

Hi self-harm-fighter, as you ate in the UK you can phone childline. It is a freefall and they will be able to talk through your problems and let you know how you can get help. There are mental health services available through the NHS but I am not sure if you can access them without a patents involvement. Childline would be the best people to speak to. They have a website and I think you can chat or message them if that is more comfortable for you. They are UK based. I am not allowed to give the web address so google it. Also Young Minds is another UK website for young people concerned about their mental health. There is lots of great info. And finally, you have said you are really depressed. I don't doubt that you feel terrible, but there may be other things going on instead or as well. You nerd to see a doctor, psychologist or psychiatrist to get a diagnosis and appropriate treatment. Anti depressants may or may not be the answer. If you have tried and/or are thinking about suicide please tell someone. And if you have no-one you can trust please phone/ message childline. Actually, do that anyway. They are well trained to help you. Take care. You are worth it.
