hi all . im 40 yrs old and getting tonsils out after suffering for 33 yrim excited to get rid of them but am afraid of risks. and dont know what i should do after ward please let me know your best tips please5
I think the risks as low, but there's always a chance something weird can happen. I'm sure your Dr. will or has spoken to you about that.
I would prepare yourself for awful, terrible and excruciating pain at times!
Like you, I had suffered for years and my ENT and I both decided that living on antibiotics wasn't gonna work anymore.
A few things that have helped me: 1.) Create a regiment... get your eds ready to go so they are there when you need them!
2.) Hot and Cold press - I grab what ever feels good
3.) A lot of Sherbet
4.) Expand your basic cable package... (joke) You will watch a lot of TV.
5.) Plan to take at least 2 weeks off. It's been exactly one week off work for me and I thought I could go back today, but you never know from one minute to the next the level of pain you could be experiencing.
I've tried to document my entire experience: johnadams.tv/blog02
A few folks have found some good stuff in there. Feel free to visit ;)
Good luck,
John
