I am 27 male and being suffered with roids for last 7 months... I have read a lot of articles on this and consulted a gastroentrology specialist twice.. Now getting ready for the third visit... I myself concluded the cause for my roids...

1. Family history (My father, grandfather has it)
2. I used to clean my ass repeatedly- atleast 10 times after a bowel movement with water- Later i read that its a trigger for roids
3. Food -I used to skip my breakfast and had a lot of waffle coffee..and Omlets. Also i used to drink a lot of beer ,wine and alcohol, And yes used to take spicy food

So once after having the first incident ,Started out after having a very spicy food, almost 7 months back, i consulted a specialist and she gave me some Hem H suppositories... After that i was very carefull and it came down a lot.. During my second visit she told me that there is nothing to worry about.. And till yesterday i was almost confident that it wont hit me back...But i went for a weight training session yesterday evening(Squat with weights)IS IT A TRIGGER(SOMEONE PLEASE ANSWER ME ,SO THAT I CAN CANCEL MY SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT)... Morning i was going smooth in the toilet.. But at office i started to feel that pain in my ass again.. I went to toilet today afternoon and my roids came back, with blood in my stools... So scheduled an appointment with a specialist again.

Some simple steps to follow, if it doesn't help do see a doctor.

These steps helped for me, but not sure about others.

Do's
****
1. Eat Bran Buds (1/3-1/2 cup) with your cereal in the morning.
2. Drink lots of water
3. Eat your green veges
4. Eat your fruits
5. Eat some high fiber yogurts as snacks
6. Cleaning/showering after bowel movements can help
7. Use PrepH when needed (doctors can prescribe stronger cream)
8. Try Mineral Oil for those bad days.

Do Nots
******
1. Stay away from white foods. ie. white bread, white rice, pizza
2. Stay away from alcohol (it can cause flare ups)
3. Stay away from spicy food
4. Don't push or rush your bowel movements.
If you're pushing hard, you need more fiber/water in your diet.

I had the same problem with no insurance. How I addressed the matter. One.. I started thinking logically about the problem. If it's broken, then it's fixable. What I did and got good results. I started eating salad and cut out cheeses and other foods that create a hard stood, and I stopped everything that put strain on my lower area, it was strain that brought on the hemorrhoids, so I assume taking the strain off would at least give my body time to recover. Then I started using Olive oil and Fleet laxative, yes Olive oil to lube my rectum on the inside and out. Olive oil is all natural and a great lubricate. I did this so that my hemorrhoids did not have much friction, and to help with the pressure created by the stood, and when I used the bathroom, I did not push hard... I allowed it to happen naturally.. The Fleet laxative is used to stick up your rectum, this helps soften the stood, and it cleans out the rectum area well.. Now depending on how bad your hemorrhoids are, you will need to push them back up into the rectum after using the bathroom until the strength comes back in your rectum area.. and through out the day do rectum exercises to help strengthen your rectum... Don't over do this, remember strain brought the hemorrhoids on! This is done by pulling your rectum muscles in like trying to tighten up and keep something from going up into your rectum. Do it from time to time through out the day to help strengthen the rectum, and most of all, do everything to take off strain from the lower area... Lifting weights got to go and other hard activities that put strain down toward the rectum.. This will take about 2 to 3 weeks before you start seeing the results.. I was bleeding and my hemorrhoids where coming out doing my times in the bathroom.. Now I'm not bleeding anymore, and my rectum area is now beginning to go back to it's natural state.. Now this takes time, and you must keep the Olive Oil on an inside the rectum to keep it lube.. This really helps and stop eating the hard foods until the body recovers.. If you don't, the doctor is going to be your next option.. I did not have insurance and I did not want the bill... so I did what I had to do to fix the problem.. Now if you area bleeding to the point of blood is dripping and running down your legs, forget everything I'm saying and get to the doctor now! I'm not a doctor, so any information here, you use at your own risk.. I take know responsibility for use of this information.. However, I'm just saying, this is what I did and it has really help me out big time! Take care and God Bless Everyone.. Hope you get better!

I am 30 and finally had 4 internals removed, mine started around age 20. Nothing I tried ever made them better, poor eating habits and straining while pooping did me in. My only advice is do something about them while they're still small, it is very unlikely you will ever reverse them, once they're there they aren't going anywhere.

34 years old, having ass pain. When I was 28 I was having similar problems where my ass hurt. Dull type pain in the rectum, a little blood when I would wipe my ass and was constipated at times. Unfortunately I had to get a colonoscopy that came back good. A few years pass and it's back again. Ass pain, and when I sprayed soap on my ass while on the shower it stung. Light blood streaks periodically after having a butt explosion. I try to eat healthy but end up eating bad stuff here and there. I don't drink alcohol so that helps as a preventative. I drive every day all day. I commute into the city for work and then drive around for work so I'm assuming that's a contributing factor into this reoccurring problem. I don't exercise to hardcore but I do go for walks. I'm thinking of doing more walks daily. I don't want to go to the doctor because it's embarrassing. I have a new primary care physician and I don't want him having to check my ass out. This all started the other day after I had a major bowel movement. Sucks. Thank you everyone for sharing your info. Looks like we are all dealing with a pain in the ass. Hope you guys are all doing well.
