I am pretty fit but after I exercise (sports including lots of running) I am always very stiff in my legs. Especially my left ankle and I just feel kind of lazy for want of a better word. Really I just feel less inclined to do other things after I exercise because I feel.......... 'stiff' and as I said above kind of lazy for want of a better word.

Are you stretching before and after your runs? I always feel tight and stiff after my first few runs when I'm getting back into things. After those few times though it doesn't seem to bother me until I push myself a bit more. I have to stretch though.

chellw I don't think that stretching is the issue. Stiffness can also be from exertion depending on the age of the person who is working. Now I think that the issue could also be more from the exertion like running and it can be very very hard on the joints. What I'd recommend instead is something that's a bit less hard on the body like swimming or something instead. Does anyone else have ideas?
