Hello, folks. My friend has been diagnosed with MS and I think that she has been under treatment with immunosuppressants in combination with an immunomodulating agent. I don’t know anything about this type of treatment, so I would really like to hear what you think about this. Thank you in advance.
Hi, there. I can help you with some info. My friend was diagnosed with dermatomyositis. It is another disease where your immune system turns against your own cells and destroys them. It is also known as autoimmune disease. She got one corticosteroid. However, this was not enough, so she got another drug that changes her immune response. That would be immunomodulating agent. As far as I know, there are still not enough results for this combination. I am sorry I cannot tell you something more.

Hello, everyone. I think that you can classify immunosuppressant under immunomodulating agents. I mean, immunosuppressants also change immune response. Immunomodulating agents can also stimulate immune system. Those are immunostimulators. They can be specific and non-specific. I know GM-CSF. It stimulates some cells that belong to leukocytes. It can be bought under Leukine name. I really don’t know anything about this combination.

Hi, guys. MS is a very difficult disease. It can be referred as autoimmune disease. In all these diseases, you have to suppress the immune system. It’s a must. Of course, this has its own side effects. Maybe some of the immunostimulators can help here. I think that you should really consult an expert about this. I hope you’ll find out something. Good luck!
