Okay, so first off I am a 24 year old Caucasian male who does not have a history of really bad acne. Throughout my teens I had a fairly normal amount of acne in the normal areas of my body but I never had any whatsoever on the upper sides of my torso. In the last several years my acne has naturally tapered off until I only get the occasional smattering on my back and every once in a while I will get one on my gluteus maximus.

In the last 4 months or so I have noticed that every 1 to 2 weeks I will get a fairly pronounced pimple (I don't think its ever been more than one at a time) that develops over the course of anywhere from 6-10 hours on either side of my torso in the same area on both sides. The area starts around 3 inches below the bottom of my armpit and is maybe 3 inches in total width as well. Basically, if you follow the nipple line around to where it crosses the midaxillary line that is essentially the center of the problem area. I have medical knowledge equivalent to an EMT-B and worked in a clinical setting as a medic when I was in the Army, so I have done all of the basic procedures of changing my deodorant (I've been using the same types for years) to Arm and Hammer Essentials that has no aluminum or parabens. I have good hygiene and do thoroughly wash the afflicted area with soap (which I have also switched through several types including 100% organic soap) and then get a clean rinse. I do not use moisturizers or wear tight fitting clothing nor do I have a stressful life. I have a healthy diet and I exercise 5-6 times a week.

While the individual pimples are not really that painful I would dearly like to get to the bottom of this conundrum. Almost all of the pimple rises above the epidermal plane and it takes very little pressure to rupture the thin skin over the pus. The actual width of the head is probably slightly less than an eight of an inch, so it's not huge. As of yet I have seen no discernible core or plug in the discharge that might cause the initial build up and the discharge is very thin and watery. After the pimple has been popped the swelling drastically reduces and the spot stays red for a week and then largely goes away, but eventually I will get another singular pimple and it is almost always on the opposite side of my body in the same local (which I believe the side is more random than anything pertinent). While I admit that this might simply be caused by hormonal changes I don't feel that that is the case. Regardless, I would sincerely appreciate any input available.

Thanks,

Jesse
