I know what you are going through! I had an abortion in January...a guy i know forced himself on me. He was the devil i am convinced. Anyways, i Got normal periods up until this month. I had sex with an ex a few weeks ago. First i had sex after the abortion. A week after sex...I go to the bathroom... Wipe...saw bright red blood. Nothing but very light brown discharge off and on since then. to my knowledge we used a condom the whole time! I freaked out on him and accused him of...use your imagination. He and i are on very bad terms now. So...I'm impatiently waiting because I'm supposed to get a real period (blooood flowing) like right about now as I'm writing this... So far...nothing. I'm scared...confused... Angry...I can't bare to have another abortion... Or have a kid with him...I know it sounds messed up...but it is complicated. So I will take a pregnancy test tomorrow and next week. And I hope...my body is just acting crazy because of that abortion and not because I am preggers again.

Had an abortion in May, bled for a few weeks after. Passed horrible clots but apparently that was caused by me exercising. Anyway, got my normal period in July. Then I had light bleeding for 7 days, a week before my period was supposed to start. Now I'm 3 days late for August. My boobs are sore. And my stomach is bloated and gassy.
Took a pregnancy test yesterday, it came back negative. Drank parsley tea to force my period down, and nothing. I'm a hypochondriac so I swear I'm having preggo symptoms although it's prob all in my head. Gonna test again in 3 days. If it comes back negative I'll just chalk it up to an after effect from my abortion.

Hey there, I had my abortion in January 2015. My periods have been super irregular... it is really comforting to know that it's not just me. My cycles have been lasting about 40 days.... sometimes more. I usually only bleed for about two days and I never got cramps before but now I do and they are terrible.

I'm having the same issues. I had an abortion August 7th 2015 at 7 weeks along and everything went as it should. I got my first period about 6 weeks later and it seemed just like a normal cycle to me before I had even gotten pregnant. The only difference in that period was my cramps were a lot stronger. I'm now trying to find my next period. At first I thought I might have gotten pregnant, but my test came back negative. I'm feeling the same way I did when I got pregnant the first time, but the doctor that did the procedure said that was normal to still feel pregnant months after the abortion and that it's usually hard to get pregnant again for awhile after an abortion. The same doctor also told me they could not prescribe me any birth control because they told me I was 'high risk' but they wouldn't really explain what that meant. I've had unprotected sex, but the doctor told me not to really worry about possibly getting pregnant again for the first few months. I've done research and saw what she said was a load of c**p. My fiance doesn't like using condoms, he says they are uncomfortable and if I did get pregnant again, he told me that I would need to get another abortion because he doesn't want children, which is why I got an abortion in the first place. I'm really scared right now that I possibly could be pregnant, (though I don't think I am because the test came back negative) because the first abortion really messed me up mentally, I'm still not over it and I couldn't go through with another abortion. The added stress probably really isn't helping me right now. It's good to know that there are others out there who are going through the same thing with irregular cycles.

I'm having the same stress.. I had my abortion July 1st this year. I was having normal period till now. I'm not taking any contraceptive pills. My husband doesn't use condoms, only withdrawal. He always pulls it out no matter what . Last month I was a day late but it's been 5days this month and still no blood. I feel bloated, pimples are out and bruises on my legs and arms (my usual symptoms of getting my period). I'm so worried like most of the people here coz i don't wanna go through another depressing process.. I'm gonna buy few things of PT and hope for the best.

I had an abortion 6 months ago, i have had unexplained weight gain about 6 lbs since.. I'm usually a thin person and quite small so this is a lot for me and my stomach hurts, sharp pains and i look so so bloated all the time! my periods were irregular so this is my second month on the pill which has added more weight! i think ill get off it soon and hopefully periods are regular and i lose all the weight !

I literally have the same problem. I bled for about 13 weeks after my abortion then my periods were later than normal. After that I missed a period but was having protected sex this month I got one period and two light periods. I refuse medical care for everything except the abortion ( I feel very guilty about it) anyway I've done so research and found that nothing is unheard of with medical abortion. They are pumping your body with a huge dose of hormones and it can take years to go back to normal if you do at all. I know this post is very old and I would never suggest going to a doctor but you can or you can talk to one just know they can't touch you without permission and must stop at any point if you ask them to.
