Someone tells me chronic prostatitis can be divided into two forms, chronic bacterial prostatitis and chronic nonbacterial prostatitis/chronic pelvic pain syndrome. However, I rarely see questions about chronic bacterial prostatitis. So I googled this disease several and learned that this disease is not as common as chronic pelvic pain syndrome, it doesn't mean that nobody is suffering from this disease, so is it curable and how to get rid of this disease thoroughly without secondary recurrence?
Will chronic bacterial prostatitis turn into chronic pelvic pain syndrome if it left untreated?
