I want to know if cyclobenzaprine like vicodin is. My husband was on vicodin and now put on cyclobenzaprine. I know that vicodin is opioid analgesics and it not suppose to be used without expert approval. However, I know nothing about cyclobenzaprine. Do you have any information about this medication, its use and side effects?
Cyclobenzaprine is not like vicodin. It is muscle relaxant used to block pain sensations that are sent to your brain. Usually doctors prescribe it for muscle pain, tenderness, and limited motion caused by muscle spasms. It can be used only on short-term basis. Possible side effects are irregular heartbeats, chest pain, nausea, sweating, confusion, seizure If any of this occurs, take your husband to a hospital.
