My wife has recently been pushing me to be a part of our baby's bedtime routine. She stopped breastfeeding at six months and says that it is my turn to start putting him to bed now. What do you think? Is it good for fathers to be a part of bedtime routine? Why, or why not?

I don't see why not. Every family should decide for themselves what works for them. A kid has two parents and I am of the view that they should both take equal responsibility for the kid, but that is not something everyone agrees on obviously. I can see where your wife comes from though - I bet she would like some me-time as well after months of being up all night!
