Hi everyone. I don’t know if you are familiar with Danish diet? It is very popular. Here, in my neighborhood, a girl lost 20 pounds with it, literally over night. I saw her the other day and she looks amazing. It still wouldn’t hurt her to lose 8-10 pounds, but still, she looks great. She told me she followed Danish diet and it helped her. I came home super motivated and enthusiastic about the idea of following this diet, but then my mum was like ‘’Danish diet? Oh, it is a short term solution. You will gain it all back’’. And just like that, she killed it.
Is she right? Is this really a short-term diet?

I am afraid it is.
Here’s what happened to my girlfriend. She was on this diet, a couple of times. You are literally starving. The only good thing is, it doesn’t last long. Fist time she achieved losing 10 pound and the second time… I wanna say 16..or 14. It was a great success for her because she doesn’t lose weight easily. That was probably her biggest weight loss in such a small period of time.
Anyway, both times, she gained it all back very quickly after the diet was finished.
And I think because it is short-termed, this diet is not that healthy. You might wanna reconsider trying it.

Yes, it is a short term diet. It lasts for only 13 days. And some studies show that short term diets tend to give a short term solution, and after a week or two, the problem is back. So your mother might be right. Danish diet doesn’t have clinical studies that have shown its effectiveness and safety. Are you sure you want to try it? It doesn’t even have a known publisher, I could have written it and put it on the internet.
Read all about it before you definitely decide to try it, consider the effect that this diet can have on your health.
