I was a competitive swimmer few years ago. I still swim a lot. I have just found out that I am pregnant. I am afraid that I would have to stop swimming. I kind of hate the idea. Is there a way for me to continue swimming during the pregnancy?

Of course there is. Physical activity is recommended for pregnant women. You are obviously in a good form and it will help your pregnancy more than you can imagine now. You can keep swimming for now just don’t overdo it. Forget about competitive workouts. Just swim for the fun of it or as a light workout at most. Of course you have to check it with your obstetrician. If he says that everything is OK then you can proceed with swimming
