I went to see a podiatrist at Kaiser, so that he could take a look at my hammertoe, which I developed several months ago.  He said he couldn't do anything with it, until I got rid of a skin condition I have on my foot, which is contact dermatitis.  I told him I didn't want any surgery done to it, and if he could just cut the ligaments/tendons to release them so that the toe could straightened out, he said no, because the bones in the toe had fused.  Fused? How could the bones in the toe have fused if the bones hadn't broken? Has anyone heard of any such thing? Thank you for your input.  -Kd

Ok, thanx.  Thought I could get an answer to my question, but I see this board is worthless. I'm taking my question off my favorites/book marked, so don't bother posting, because I won't see it.  Thanx.
