How can I stop the itching associated with photosensitive lupus?
One thing that I have found to help a little is to stop using soap. I know that sounds gross, but its not. My doctor explained to me that we don't need to, the soap from our shampoo is pretty sufficent. But if your like me you run into a small problem of shaving. Well, I love the new body washes made by Summers Eve and KY. They are made for SUPER sensative skin. If you don't like those the unsented Avenno oatmeal bodywash for sensative skin is pretty good.

Hello wesleysgranny,

It would be best to try to use soaps or body washers for sensitive skin and if those doesn’t help to solve your problem than stop using soap during showering.

You can also consult with your doctor to visit your dermatologist and see with him if there is any chance to use some medical solution. For example my sister really has very sensitive skin which has become even more sensitive during coping with Lupus. She can use soap or even showering gel but body lotions are really big issue. So she has started to use the one her doctor has prescribed and this is medical cream and it is more expensive than the regular one but it helps and that is more important.
