About a month ago, I had some diahrrhea and noticed that it felt a little weird/uncomfortable when I urinated. over the next couple days, it got worse and hurt alot whenever I touched the vulva. It sometimes burned the outsides of my labia. Finally I looked in a mirror and there were a few red bumps around my labia and a few on my anus. I went to a doctor on campus and she said it was "probably herpes" like it was nothing. I freaked out of course and then the bumps went away completely after a week. It still felt a little irritated down there though, which could have been caused by the heat (I currently live in Hawaii). The irritation hasn't really stopped but about a week ago I started noticing it more often again...I looked and there was one bump but it was gone the next morning. I went to a different doctor asking her if this was indeed herpes, she took one look and said "no that's probably a fungal infection caused by shaving or something". She gave me cream for it. It still hasn't gone away. At this point the vulva/labia area is irritated, red, and puffy. There are no blisters but the area is sore and i will occasionally see some sort of bump. It does not hurt when I have sex.

It is really hard to tell what you have without photos--but I don't want to see it just because photos cannot be posted on the forums. I think that it might be a good idea to see an actual dermatologist and let them know what you've done thus far. What do you think?
