Hi all. For the last four months I’ve had a very itchy back. It is itchy from the neck down to below the shoulder blades. The skin sometimes feels as though it is being attacked with hot needles. Also, there is no visible rash and the skin is soft and smooth. It is worse first thing in the morning and at night especially if I expose the skin to air. What could this be? I would appreciate any help.
Stres is certainly one of the possible causes – especially when there is no visible rash. Another very possible cause is an allergy. You did not mention if you are taking any tablets… However, if it is an allergy, it could be aggravated by such things as clothing materials, washing powders, shower gels… The god news is that it is very unlikely to be associated with anything more worrying. So, I would suggest you visit a good dermatologist and allergologist for further examinations. Hope this helps. Take care.
Hey! It could be something wrong with your nerves. I would try getting a good, hard massage, or there could be something irritating in your water. Try not to take very warm showers as this could dry out your itchy spot even more, making it itchier! Is this daily? If it is, try a good lotion to rub on on the whole width of the back where u said it itches. I hope you don't itch too much! I wish I could scratch it for you so you'd be happy! I hope this helps! :-)
Hey! One of the causes could possibly be something is up with your nerves. Try getting a good massage that you feel is helping. It doesn't have to be professional, either. Even a friend would do. Also, try not to take too hot shower because it could dry out your back's itchy spot. There could be something in the water... I dunno just a guess. Try some mousturizing lotion for it too, just for the good of it. I reccomend eucerin skin care cream, it helps for any dry part of the body, it your back is dry. As a last resort, I would keep a backscratcher handy or be near something to rub up against. If nobody's around, a brush works or a rough towel to rub your itch with. *pictures that and laughs* ;-) Also, don't hesitate to ask someone.:-P I hope this helps you!
