I have had the same itbreasts as the rest of you, with no other issues or problems. My gynecologist told me to get off the caffeine for a few weeks and it worked.  All the itching stopped.  I'm down to one cup of decaf coffee a day and back to itching so I will have to try it again. No caffeine at all, even decaf coffee. No chocolate or cold drinks.  Try this and see if it works for you.

I have been having itchy breasts for a few weeks now (nearly a month). It started suddenly and I have no reason to suspect any washing powders or shampoo's etc because I have used hypoalergic ones without no problems. It seems to itch more during the night, all over not just the nipples.. My partner and I have a bit of an issue when we make love, he has to be very soft around my boobs as they are also sensitive, I have a C cup. I doubt the size of the breast has any thing to do with itch though. I believe it's due to hormones, some woman have stated they have had children..whilst others (such as myself) have not. Personally, I think it's time for me to have a baby? I have tried every cream and ointment, including Bio Oil which does help ease the itch a lot actually. I think it can also be due to stress, I am in my late 20's and have been a little stressed out lately.

It is comforting to know I'm not alone when it comes to this problem.  I've tried everything from vasoline to steriod cream and still I itch, right on my nipples.  It's maddening.  I don't think it is my bra.  It happens when I'm bra-less, too.  It happens when I'm cold (in New England) and when I'm warm (in Florida).  Don't know what to do about it.  I'm using the same soap and I'm double rinsing my bras.  It happens with new bras as well as old.  They all fit me well.  Of course, I worry about breast cancer but so I'll tell my doctor.  I'm glad to hear that I'm no going looney tunes!

Hi, I have had this problem since last year.  I went to the doctor and he said it must be the detergent I use.  He said to use the dye free

detergents which I did.  But my breasts are still itching especially one.  I can't stand the itch. It's unbearable.  I am going to see him again.  I don't feel that he is the best to know because he is a male doctor. I feel I should see a woman doctor only because he brushed it away like it's minor.

Here is my suggestion for all with 1 or 2 itchy breasts: Change your laundry detergent...just for the load with your bras. Detergents today have peroxide, bleach and other strong chemicals and are manufactured to clean in cold water. Some of us are sensitive to these chemicals. If you wash bras by hand in the sink, liquid detergents for hand washing are strong enough to soak your lingerie clean. Use just a drop and rinse very well or use the mild detergent in the sink also. This cured my problem.

Hi Ladies, I joined the club today. My breasts started itching this morning. I wore an old bra but I do not wash/dry mine in machines. I hand wash them with mild soap, so, I don't know what is going on. I am thinking it might be the weather!

I have the same symptoms as yours. What is the solution? I'm 24 and my breast is pretty sizable too

I used a cold water wash for my bras in the sink, but if you use a teaspoonful for 2-3 cups of water, the mix is very strong. I'm going to try just using hand soap...My washing machine has an extra rinse cycle, and I've chosen that. I really think it is the chemicals.

Are you eating enough? It sounds to me like you are a little malnurished. This will effect your period and cause cramping in your legs. I don't know if it could make you itchy. But I'm no doctor.

Lotrimin seems to work for me so far. It's the stuff you use for a jock itch or athletes foot.

You may want to go to another doctor for a second opinion and possibly get a mammogram. It probably is nothing but it's best to be safe than sorry.
