Well , im 13 years old and i have a 32 A size bra. The last few days my nipple has really badly itched and im scared to tell my mom because im afraid to know what it could be . I have very small boobs almost none if that helps. I get my bras from target because like i said im tiny for my age. But i woke up this morning with this extream itch. I looked online and found this hoping theirs an answer to my problem , again im 13 im lost about what could happen and i want to know what this could possibly be. If you ladies think it could be serious should i tell my mom or is it just an itch. I need answers.

Quite often women get itchy breasts due to Candida overgrowth. There's plenty of research out there about it, but it's essentially an imbalance of good and bad intestinal bacteria leading to the overgrowth of the natural Candida Albicans yeast that grows in our bodies. If you have other symptoms, such as fatigue, headaches, mood swings, sinus congestion, depression, yeast infections, thrush, antibiotic intake, high sugar diet, poor memory and concentration, and craving for sweets there's a good chance you could be experiencing Candidiasis.  There are some great books out there about it. Hope that helps some of you! Whenever I eat anything sugary I start having itchy breasts. Not a comfortable sensation!!
I've also heard it could be a zinc deficiency - haven't really explored that one yet though.

I've had very itchy breasts for the past few days now. I'm only 18, and I have quite so small breasts (A-cup I would guess) and I've never worn a bra before. I'm too scared to scratch my nipples but I scratch around them pretty much every minute. It's getting really annoying and I'm wondering what it might be? It can't be that they are growing or my period, can it? They usually hurt a bit then, they've never itched before. And nothing of my normal life is different either; what fabric I wear, what I wash my clothes in etc... The same as they've always been for the at least past 10 years.

It would be wonderful if someone could tell me what the problem might be, especially since I'm not of the same age or condition (size&bra) as everyone else here is... It is starting to scare me what it might be.

Hi :) I am 16 years old and am experiencing the same thing as everyone else here. I don't wear VS bras, wash regularly, have no allergies and haven't changed my soap/detergent, I wear the right size bra. This has been going on for a long time now! I have stretch marks on my 36C breasts from when they first grew. They are almost always itchy, especially in the shower. I also have itchy armpits and scalp (gross, i know!) i have no idea what this could be. Sometimes I scratch them so much I can see the blood vessels. This is scaring me! The itch is unbearable! We need answers, ladies.

Hi!! My breast have been itching lately as well. I don't just put it off on my bra because I have several bras and it does not matter which bra I wear I still itch. I have done ALOT of research on this topic and the main thing that scares me is the fact that it could be Inflammatory Breast Cancer (IBC). This is a very rapid breast cancer and is sometimes not even detected on a mamogram. So if you go have a mamogram you might want to talk to your doctor about this particular cancer. I'm hopfully going to get to go to the doctor soon to see if thats what is going on with me or not. I hope none of you have IBC.

I think this is great advise, a good comment -- plus I have these thoughs...my breasts started itching about a week or so ago and I think it has to do with: 1. possible Candida..I eat sugar, at lease a little almost every day and that is something kind of new, plus I have not been able to find a good probiotic..any ideas? I don't like yogurt much...2. wearing bras of synthetic material. I just started that about six months ago and I hate wearing bras, but in the workplace it's a must...got 2 tshirt bras that are full of synthetics...3. my breasts are getting larger...I am older and they've always been like an A or just small, I don't have children...and now they are getting larger, look great, but maybe the itching has to do with that?? I notice some teen agers on here say they have the itching, too.

That's all I can figure...I don't think it's anything worse. Hope not. Will get checked. Thanks everyone for posting.

Hi - just came across your post. I was wondering why I have become "allergic" to my Victoria Secret bra (due to continual rash and itching after 1 year) I stopped wearing it and bought another similar one from another company and immediately rashed up again. Now I am on strict cotton but breast still seem "irritable" and I wonder if the formaldyhide has caused irreparable damage to my breast/immune sensitivity? I am going to pursue information on the web to see if Victoria Secret bra is to blame - since I had no problems previous to using their bra! Thanks for your post and hope you have sorted out your true problem. I am concerned as well and will get a mammagram soon.

If I put lotion on them the itching stops , think it's just dry akin but people I have read on this topic say it's breast cancer . I'm worried !! I too had this problem, but briefly - my nipples were dry as in a toast and then very very itchy. I was wearing those nylon wonder bra's? though a cup size higher than what I needed lol - rejected them for regular cotton available in India. And then tried this remedy - already followed by my cousins - here it is - take sour milk cream, rub it into the nipple and breast tissue and make sure that you keep on applying more and more till the skin refuses to absorb any more - usually this procedure is done overnight while being topless as in no upper garments or a nightie - following morning use fresh milk to wash your boobs - no soap - nothing at all.

Follow/repeat this treatment every week for at least a month - this was enough for my problems. However one cousin had to do it every single night for a month!

Try this method and post your experiences
