I am very sensitive in the vagina/vulva area. I start itching badly (as well as feeling sore) if i wear panty liners or pads. (allergic to sticky stuff on these items). Also cant use fabric softener (same result). As well as some scented washing powers/liquids. The other possibility is allergic reaction to some medication (I had this and was so itchy in the groin area that I had to use cold ice compresses in that area before I went to the GP and found out it was an allergic reaction to new medication I was taking. I also had itching in the armpits, palms of hands and soles of feet. One last thing, I also get itchy from scented toilet paper so make sure you buy an unscented one. I also only use pears soap in that area. I rub Bepanthen antiseptic cream over the outside of the entire pubic area (also the inside of the vulva if needed) after a shower. It does not sting and helps greatly with the itch. Hope this helps.

I have been having this problem for awhile and tried everything you can think of. I finally broke down one night after the swolleness got ao bad it was hard to walk and went to the er. I got treated for an std even tho I did not have one and that worked dor awhile but I found out that allergy pills help the itching stop altogether. I had made me problem worse trying all the over the counter stuff so my advise is allergy pills. I hope this helps someone else.

if you have yellowish discharge that is definitely a yeast infection. make sure to shower everyday with ONLY WATER no soap. also wear cotton underwear nothing with lace as it can cause irritation. you can buy monistat and use it as directed and it will go away.

It only happens for about a week? How long will the itching go on if it's just natural?
