Itchy red rash on face, swollen eyelids and under eyes on and off for month

Yikes does anybody else feel the EXTREME discomfort of the 3rd degree burning feeling and the itch that almost drives you insane!!!! I too experience the swollen eyelids which started 3 years ago and since have gotten this 6 times BUT it has been with me for the last month and a half. First my eyes swelled, then stopped then 3 days later came back with a vengence, eyes practically swollen shut my face as red as an apple and burning hot. that left and my neck started to itch and burn and flake, then it progressed up to my chin, then my cheeks and back up to my eyes again, now I not only have hot red blotchy swollen neck and face but I have also developed raised welt like spots that are white and hot too as well as a hive like rash on my neck, upper chest and cheeks. This is so discouraging, the Dr.s say they have seen it before but have no idea what the cause is. I am trying prednasone for the first time tonite, I hope this brings some relief. Lets all keep each other posted on our progress, somewhere, somebody has to know what this is or at least what the remedy is for stopping it. I am a 50 year old (young) female in good health other than this.

I have been getting the exact same thing that you are describing, although mine starts out with the lips and then moves on to the rest of the face. The docs told me as well that it was contact dermatitis but i dont think so because it is the fourth time that it has happened and i have been watching what i eat and what i put on my face. A lot have told me to go and check for lupus.

Hello, Im a 36 year old father of a 2 year old son. Last year i got Impetigo, went to the doctor and he gave me antibiotics and it went away. Then I got a strange rash on my arm that I had for months, and I decided to use very very hot water to see if that would make it go away and it did. Now I have this red itchy patch under my eye with puffiness , this morning the red patches have moved around my other eye. I just took some benedril. Its irritating and I dont want to be sene, Im trying to start a new job and its not very good to be avoiding them.
