It could be. It could also be that you need to wear looser underwear to get some air up there. I would get it checked out.
Im almost positve its a yeast infection but if youve had unprotected sex you need to get checked
The best things you can do is not wear tight clothes like jeans, used cotton undies, and remember to wipe from front to back because you can get infections real easy. Try to check your soap or body wash too because that can dry your skin and make it itchy too. I used baby wipes to wipe myself all the time because I was always itching even before being sexually active. You can always anti-itch creams but that is only temporary. If this does not work, you can buy a kit at the any store to test yourself and see if you do have a yeast infection.
I used bactine spray to sooth the itching, it works right away .give it a try its not bad in any way since its supposed to kill bacteria and fungi
