Hello.
In Canada, if you're concerned about mold contamination, you can reach out to a qualified environmental consultant or a certified indoor air quality professional. These professionals have expertise in assessing indoor environments and can conduct tests to determine if there is mold present.
Typically, mold testing involves various methods such as air sampling, surface sampling, or bulk sampling. These tests can help identify the type and concentration of mold spores in your home. However, it's important to note that the interpretation of test results should be done by a trained professional, as the presence of mold spores does not necessarily indicate a health risk.
In addition to professional testing, it may also be helpful to visually inspect your home for any visible signs of mold growth, such as discoloration, musty odors, or water damage. Addressing any moisture issues, such as leaks or high humidity, is crucial for preventing mold growth.
While your husband may not be experiencing the same symptoms or smelling the odor, it doesn't mean that your concerns should be dismissed. Individuals can have different sensitivities and reactions to mold exposure. If you're experiencing ongoing symptoms and suspect a mold issue, it may be worth having a conversation with your husband to explain your concerns and the potential health risks associated with mold exposure.
Hope this will be resolved fast.
