i am 17. i have always had very irregular periods. occasionally i will have a period but only for about a day and its never enough to even fill a pad or tampon.
im also always having trouble with my joints. i play sports so i always related the pain to over use and such.
i tend to get bad tension in my hip knees and wrists on the right side. the pop every time i bend them. its not always bad but it comes and goes.
i also get migraines. my mother and my grand mother and my grandmothers mother all get migraines so i never paid much attention to whether they could be connected to my other problems. the migraines are often so bad that i have to get in the tub with lights out for hours in complete silence.
i have gained a good bit of weight in the last year but i that could jsut be from some home matters. and eating to much:p
i also get these lights and swirls in front of my eyes. kind of like if u were to look into the sun and then look away.
now that i get all of these compiled into a list it seems like alot, but i guess it kinda is?
I have been staying with my aunt for almost two moths and she noticed that i wast having my period and started asking questions. she knew i had been having joint problems and said that i am too young to have joint pains. whatever the case if you have any clue what could be causing these if anything could you please let me in on it???
:!:
thanks sooooo much

The symptoms you give about migraines, swirls, silence, and hours without stimulation all sound like classic migraine headache symptoms.

I am not certain how they will relate to joint pain or your periods.

But I would urge you to go see a doctor regarding the ongoing issue of migraines running through your family. There are some new treatments that could help.

Perhaps someone else can comment on the other issues you present.

hi my name is Bear(nick name) and even though i am only 13 i have severe migraines and joint pain. my mother has terrible headaches and migraines and me and my ten year old brother have got them. its just hurts so bad. frst it starts with a headache then it works down to our legs to a point where the pain is so bad we can't even walk!!!!! just yesterday i had a headache i thought it was nothing so i just tried to ignore it but it got worse. i cried for three different classes straight. i didn't go to the nurse until a teacher clled me over and asked me why i was crying. i told him i was in pain and that my leg was killing me. so he gave me a pass and i hobled not limped hobled to the nurse. but i didnt want to miss the lesson so i went back with an ice pack which didn't do squat!!!! then i had to walk home and i tried to do it but in the end i ended up collapsing and not getting back up. then some one picked me up but i was in too much pain to care who it was. next thing i know im in the hospital with my mom and brother staring at me anxiously, obviously they were waiting for me to wake up. they said the doctors had to give me morphine to stop my pain. and for those of you who dont know what morphine is it is a very very very very very strong pain killers given to people who have their lives blown off in war!!! so yeah, me and my brother inherited crappy genes which are probably going to make our lives miserable. so if any body has any advise or suggestions to make it better that would be great!!!!
thanks for listening, reading, whatever!!! :-D
