I have developed a tolerance to Klonopin that was prescribed for "panic" attacks & muscle twitching at night after 3 months of valium for a shoulder injury.
I feel awful on this medication. I have insomnia, depression, anorexia, muscle twitching, numbness & tingling all over my body and headache. I don't feel like myself at all. Just 3 months ago I was able to walk around the block, go to the grocery store, live a normal life.
If I try to reduce my dose I have psychotic thoughts, excruciating muscle spasms and extreme agitation, I can't sit still and pace for days.
Dr's don't seem to know what to do. What are my options? Am I doomed to staying on this medication until I die of the side effects? I was never told that these medicines were addictive.

Many of us fell into this trap I am sorry to say. Try the drug Promethazine it might helps in small amounts.
You need an anti convulsive med to go off of klonopin.
