most HPT market that you can take them up to 5 days before your missed period. so wait until a few days before your supposed to be period and take a test in the morning, right after you wake up, this way there is a build up of the pregnancy hormone in your urine to make the test more accurate.

You can test as soon as two weeks after having sex, three would be better.
Testing early, false negatives are common.
Use your first morning urine when you test for the best accuracy (and earliest results).
