I saw that Kombucha drink, from the yeast and bacteria. It looks yucky so I skipped, although I see people like it, maybe it taste good. How does it taste, can you tell me?
If you ask me Kombucha is a pleasant tasting. Why do you think it is yucky? I guess the taste can vary depending on how you make it but the basic recipe, which most people use, will produce a slightly sparkling drink that tastes like an apple cider or dry white wine. Sugar is used as part of the recipe, not used as a sweetener. All I can tell you when I drink it my mood is much better…after.
Hello,
Kombucha definitely does have specific taste and it is something you either like or can bring yourself to get used to, if you see some benefit from drinking it. The looks of it, to me, definitely are not appealing at all, but fairly surprisingly the taste depends much more on the mix of tea and the fermentation that goes on.
When you think about it, it’s not all that different from many other traditional drinks or natural remedies, it’s just something you have to try for yourself and see whether you like it or not. It’s not like someone can tell you in advance if you will like it. However, it’s actual health benefits have not been proven for sure.
