On January first, my boy friend and I had sex with a condom. When he finished, I noticed the cum went out of the condom through the ring, and I immediately panicked and went to the bathroom, when I then noticed I got my period. The next day, to be safe, I took plan b the next day, which was on the second day of my period. my period usually lasts 3-4 days, but because of plan b, I bled for 8 or 9 days. The end of January comes, and I don't feel like I'm going to get my period. I took four tests, the day after my period was late, the nest day, one week late, and two weeks late. All negative. But we all know we won't have feel better until our period starts. Today, I FINALLY got it, 20 days late, which means, I didn't bleed for 52 days! I almost completely skipped my period, but thankfully I got it. Definitely pray, take tests whenever possible, and try to relax. I felt like mine was never coming. I had all of the symptoms, bigger/tender boobs, and even thought I was having implantation bleeding and cramping the night before, but that turned into my period. Good luck, and don't forget to pray. God answered my prayers.
Okay so I know I came here when I was looking for answers hoping I'd find anything that would give me hope that the pill would work and why I was experiencing weird symptoms. When I came on here I noticed many women looking for the same answers and we didn't get any. So I'm here to tell my story on my experience.
So I had started my period January 18 and my regular cycle lasts up to five days so I ended my period January 22. I had unprotected sex on a Wednesday, January 27. It wasn't for long either way it was like about 10 minutes of sex and he only finished after when I finished him off myself. Of course me being worried about it he told me he'd get me the pill. The next night we were together and again had unprotected sex. Keep in mind I haven't taken the pill. It had been more than 24 hours since the first time we had unprotected on that Wednesday. Us being dumb we were like its okay we have the pill, we'll have unprotected sex this last time. It went on for about three hours obviously with breaks in between. About an hour later I decided to take the pill. With my fingers crossed I wished and hoped everything would turn out okay especially knowing I'm 17 and about to graduate in a couple of months.
Exactly a week later from taking the pill I started to get some weird cramps that lasted for a couple of minutes and it confused me because I had just finished my period a week and a half before that. I started to notice some spotting and I FREAKED!! You had no idea how scared I was and it worried me because I didn't know whether or not I was okay. The spotting first looked brown and then turned light red which the spotting lasted about three days and it was very very light in which I only had to wear pantyliners. I was trying to calm myself and of course he was there comforting me throughout the process saying everything will be fine and he'll be there for me. With this whole situation I decided to wait and see if I get my next expected period that was due February 22 or 23. I started to feel nausous eating food and felt uneasy the whole time. I seriously felt like I convinced myself that I was actually pregnant. I counted down those days hoping my period would come. I waited and saw that I was a week late.
I decided to buy pregnancy tests and take them. I took two different tests within that same week and both came up negative. I knew those were accurate because it had been more than a month since having sex. Three weeks late I noticed I still haven't gotten anything and I was starting to worry. March 13 I finally got my period. I missed one whole month, one whole period. From experience I know that the pill does mess with your cycle and really does throw everything off. The pill is supposed to trick your body into getting your period which explains the weird spotting a week after taking it. Then it takes months for your cycle to go back to normal. It was a really long three months worrying and hoping everything will turn out okay. The waiting really is scary but in the end I'm okay. Since then I made sure there was always protection because I don't want to go through that whole scared phase again. I learned my lesson. Always use protection!! I hope my story helps out some girls looking for questions. Good luck girls, you'll be fine.
I had unprotected sex on the last day of my period. The very next morning I took Plan B. About 4 hours into taking it.. I felt cramping, and that was it.
A few weeks later I experienced symptoms i'd never felt before such as:
- high basal temp
- SEVERE cramping
- spotting
I immediately thought that I was pregnant. I saw my doctor explained to me that the Plan B will mess you body up. It is A LOT of hormones in one pill. I took about 4 tests... all negative. Cut to the day I was supposed to have my period. Nothing. . . .
My period DID come today, though. Just be patient and let the pill do its job. The stress will probably add to the delay in your cycle.
You're more than likely fine :)
